What I would change to communicate the message better:
I was drawn to the British Vogue Magazine (UK) July 2023 Janell Monae Cover Ncuti Gatwa, involving multiple different explanations. When I first observe the magazine advertisement I see Power, Revolutionary, and Creativity. Janell Monae’s bright red fit express’s power and strength relating to the statements around her. For instance, right below her you see “Pride and Joy” which represents transformation for the future. The creative aspect of the cover I received is Janell Monae hand sticking out representing “stop” showing viewers it’s time to speak up. On the other hand, some details I would change to communicate the message better would be the vocabulary instead of joy I would put leadership because of how the model is posing. When I view this cover, I see nothing about joy. Joy reminds me of yellow, so another change I would add even though the red bold outfit is what caught my attention I would change the color to yellow if the producer was trying to project something more uplifting. I also would add in a little bit more detail about pride and joy underneath. As I was viewing other magazines, I saw inspirational phrases, for example “Dare to wear” in bold lettering expressing to be yourself. A motivating quote I would add relating to pride and joy could be “time to change history.”
